As the world continues to deal with the Coronavirus COVID-19, communities around the globe deal with their own issues.

Regional District of Kootenay Boundary Director Roley Russell has teamed up with City of Grand Forks Mayor Brian Taylor to keep citizens of the Boundary region up to date with vital information regarding the COVID-19 pandemic.

Last week Russell and Taylor were joined by Community Futures Boundary General Manager Jennifer Wetmore and Boundary Regional Chamber of Commerce Chair Jeff Fero.

Since the video hit the web, the Chamber has created a way for the community to support local business with the “Easy 10” promotion.

Citizens are encouraged to spend $100 at shops locally across the region and receive a $10 Boundary Bucks Gift Card by submitting the receipt at the office in Grand Forks.

The offer is eligible for use at more than 25 businesses across the region.

Tuesday, Russell and Taylor welcomed Member of Parliament for South Okanagan—West Kootenay Richard Cannings and MLA for Boundary-Similkameen Linda Larson after hearing the community wanted to hear from local provincial and federal elected officials.
