Please give a brief summary of  who you are and why you have decided to run for office.

I am born of Austrian - Russian descent.  I have always been an individual, who has strived to be successful at every endeavour, that I have challenged.  My track record of success, definitely warrants me to  challenge the position of Mayor, because I truly believe, that I will be an asset to the citizens of this community, that definitely needs a new breath of fresh air.

What is your background? Have you held office before? What's skills do you bring to the job if you are elected?

My background, entails 35 years of business success.  Although, I have never held previous office, I believe that my managerial experience, my dealings with employees, and my interactions with the public in the past, renders me perfectly for the position of running this city.  Because, after all, running a city is no different than running a business.  Both can be very successful, if properly managed.

What do you think are the top three challenges facing the city/region/school district in the upcoming term?

  1. Lack of interaction and communication with the citizens of Grand Forks, to acknowledge their needs and concerns.
  2. Developing our aging and failing infrastructure.
  3. Economic development, with better management of citizens' property taxes, and  business growth, which are way overdue.

How do you plan on addressing these challenges?

I plan on providing strong leadership, with honesty and integrity, based on my successful background.  I plan to lead this city, like my businesses, into a new era of success, with a vision for the future, encompassing all the citizens of this great city.

If you could describe yourself in three words what would they be?

  • Honest
  • Strong
  • Receptive

What is the one thing that makes you stand out as an candidate? (or) What is the one thing you want people to know about you?

My leadership, will never be based on my personal points of view, but rather the views of the citizens of this city.
